Nina Sheer, Jewellery Design

About Nina Sheer

I design and make unique contemporary jewellery in my garden studio. I combine silver, gold and porcelain to create unique and elegant jewellery. My work is influenced by natural forms such as seed pods and petals or natural objects found on the coastline. I have trained in Ceramics at Camborne College and Jewellery Design at Truro College, Cornwall, UK.

I create small press moulds from natural objects like seed pods to add texture to some pieces of porcelain. This is then fired in my workshop kiln. Although the finished overall look is delicate, the quality of the high fired porcelain and traditionally made silver work makes the pieces surprisingly robust. The tactile quality of the finished porcelain is like stone or coral. My work can be found in art galleries in Cornwall, UK and I also exhibit at craft & design events. My work is fully hallmarked, which includes my makers mark. I also undertake commissions.
